Cirencester Camera Club was founded in 1939, and has been an active and vibrant club ever since. Many of the members have a wide range of photographic interests and experience, so there is always someone on hand to help with advice, on technique, equipment or processing.
Whatever your age, skill level, or particular interest in photography, there is always a warm welcome at Cirencester Camera Club.
The Club meets every Monday evening between September and May, from 19.30 – 21.30 at the Parish Hall, Watermoor, Cirencester GL7 1NE.
Membership runs from September for 12 months. For details on how to become a member click here.
A series of illustrated talks take place throughout the year given by highly regarded speakers on wide ranging subjects from Macro Photography, Using a Drone to Photographing the Night Skies. Several times a year, we have talks from members with specific experience, such as using Photoshop, mobile phone photography and relevant editing apps plus much more. Have a look at the Events calendar to check out the wide rage of subjects covered throughout the season.
In addition, members can take part in Competitions, both within the Club and against other Clubs in the area (Inter-Club Battles). These provide an excellent opportunity to submit images and receive constructive feedback on your work from qualified judges – this is a great way to learn how to improve your imagery and processing.
There are also practical evenings, where members can practice their techniques and learn more about various aspects of photography such as portrait lighting, street photography, indoor photography using natural light etc.
Members are kept informed of the latest news and events with a weekly newsletter, known as Vignettes.
The Club is affiliated to the WCPF (Western Counties Photographic Federation), an organisation which provides the opportunities for gaining nationally recognised qualifications – see Info for more details.
